With ADAR, your holidays can be care-free

Naturally, you book your holidays well in advance.

In the mean-time, many things can happen that could cause you to cancel or cut short your holiday – illness, a death in the family, even losing your job. Any deposit, or even the full payment, will not necessarily be reimbursed.

Adar covers you for these sums already ‘spent’!

  • If you have to cancel, any deposit will be reimbursed and the owner of the property will receive any balance due.
  • If you have to cut short your stay, you will be reimbursed for the remaining period.
  • And you will be covered for any damage caused by fire, water, or explosion.

This insurance is offered at the signature of the contract. Its cost is 3.5% of the amount of rent.

If the tenant does not want to subscribe to this cancellation, it is committed to providing the contract with a certificate for civil liability, specifying coverage on movable property.

1 - How to book

The correspondence between the agency and the tenant is by email only (electronic mail).
You must check the availability of each villa, chalet or apartment in consultation with the respective schedules, then fill out the information form located on the presentation sheet so we can prepare and send you the lease.
If the proposal that we send you is suitable, just return it signed and accompanied by a deposit payment equal to 30% of the total rental (Bank transfer, Cheque (French only and in Euros), Visa or Master Card).

The client must be 18 years old at the time of booking.

The person who makes the booking is committed to paying the rent in full and is responsible for the actions of all occupants, including any damage made to the lease.

2 - How to confirm your booking

The reservation will be definitively accepted only after receipt of the deposit.
You will be notified by email (electronic mail) and we will ask you to verify that there are no errors in the drafting of the contract.

3 - Complete Payment

The full balance of the rent must be paid at the latest, 30 days prior to arrival. If the balance is not paid on or before the day of arrival, the reservation will be canceled and your deposit will not be refunded.
If you book less than 30 days prior to arrival, you must immediately pay the cost of the entire stay.

4 - Price

Prices are quoted in Euros for the rental of a week.
If your stay is longer than one week, any additional days will be charged at the same ratio.

5 - Accepted methods of payment

  • Transfer in Euro (the cost of the transfer will be charged to you)
  • Credit cards (Visa and Master Card), Note that there is a 2% charge for international cards and 1% for French cards.

6 - Liability Insurance

Liability insurance is required, and a certificate will be requested by the agency upon arrival.
You are strongly recommended to take out insurance to cover any damage that you or the people with you may cause in the rental property, as well as the theft or loss of baggage, money, jewelry, and other valuables. Please contact your insurance agent before you leave your main residence.
Otherwise, the tenant must take out insurance with the ADAR, a proposal which is available with the lease and is as follows:
Its cost is 3.5% of total rental and covers:

  1. Cancellation and interruption of stay,
  2. Civil liability on personal property,
  3. Civil liability on the property,

We encourage you to subscribe, because in case of accident the refund process is simplified; the agency Savoielac provides steps to claiming reimbursement for any damage .The insurance company ADAR will take a 75 Euro charge from you.

7 - Security deposit

A deposit is required to cover any damage caused by the occupants of the leased property.
To do this you will be asked for a bank check in Euros, U.S. $, GBP £ or any country whose banking system is internationally recognized by the French banks.
For countries that do not have any more bank check, the tenant must apply for a cashier's check.
We do not accept a cash deposit.

  • For a stay of one week or less, the deposit is one week's rent.
  • For a stay of one month the deposit is one month's rent.
  • For a stay longer than three months the deposit is two months rent.

At the end of the stay, the deposit check will be destroyed, and cashier's checks will be returned by mail after your departure. In the event of any damage, the amount to be paid will be deducted from the deposit check.
There may be a delay on the return of your deposit if supplier invoices are slow to reach us.

8 - Cancellation

  • Cancellation by the agency Savoielac / Rentalpes.
    You will be informed if, in the case of exceptional events we are not able to give you the rental you have booked. We will then propose to you a rental offer similar or higher category for a price which is equivalent to your initial reservation. If we are unable to offer equivalent accommodation, we will then refund the total deposit (ie typically 30% of the total reservation price), without any further obligation on our part.
     
  • Cancellation by the client.
    Any cancellation request made by the customer for any reason what so ever, must be received in writing via email, fax or mail.
    Confirmed reservations are final and cannot be cancelled.

    We strongly recommend you take out our insurance cancellation and interruption of stay ADAR written in several languages in our «Insurance » section.

9 - Amending your booking

If you request for a change in any part of your booking, we reserve the right to change the location originally planned and / or to consider changing the dates of your reservation to a cancellation.

10 - Telephone

The method of payment for telephone calls depends on the tenancy you hold. An instruction manual will be provided depending on the type of subscription chosen by the owner. All accommodations are not equipped with a telephone (see the property description).

11 - Photos

Any photos found on the site may not be used without the authorization of the agency Savoielac / Rentalpes, failure to comply will result in a law penalty.

You must accept that there may be slight differences between pictures and texts published on our website or brochure and the lease it itself. When considering elements of comfort, decoration and furniture, please refer to the description of the information about the apartment and not to photos. Some items which can be seen on the photos, such as flowers, candles, wine bottles, and dishes or food are not provided with the rental.

12 - Security and valuables

Any valuables left in the property are the responsibility of the tenant and are left at the tenant’s own risk. The agency Savoielac / Rentalpes and the owner are not responsible for loss or theft of valuables. All our properties are in prestigious neighborhoods, and consequently the risk of burglary may more likely.
The entrance doors should always be locked when you leave the property and also when you are inside the rental. It is advisable to use the safe in the rentals which offer this facility.
Any losses and damages due to theft or any other security problem are not our responsibility.

13 - Number of occupants

Only people on your booking may occupy the premises.
The number of persons shall not exceed the number of beds indicated on the booking form (also including children under 2 years).
If you are to exceed the number of occupants, Savoielac / Rentalpes reserve the right to cancel the lease or charge extra per person per night.

14 - Arrival

We ask you to send an SMS or call us before and during your journey on: 00 33 (0) 6 62 35 04 82, so we can welcome you personally in your rental.

Regular check in time starts at 17:00 and ends at 22:00.

15 - State of property

All properties leased by the agency Savoielac / Rentalpes are in good general condition, as is the equipment within. Chalets, villas and apartments leased by this company require the tenant’s acceptance to behave with good faith and honesty.

Knowing that they are being received in a private home, occupants must respect the places and behave as a "good family man".

On arrival, the tenant must make the usual checks and compliance on the general condition of the leased property. We do not establish a detailed inventory but we are aware of the anomaly characteristics.

The lease is considered to be in very good condition or used condition.

It is compulsory that any anomaly in the possession of the premises must be immediately reported to the agency by email or mail countersigned by the agency.
The tenant must report any breakage or damage during the course of their stay.

A photo folder is created for each rental, establishing the nature, quality, condition and destination of the leased property. These photos, of course, are available and updated regularly.
Arrivals are between 17:00 and 22:00.

Supplement:
A supplement of 50 Euros could be charged to tenants for late entry (after midnight).
Savoielac / Rentalpes or any person representing the company reserves the right, if necessary, to access the rental any time of day, for the purpose of inspection, cleaning or housekeeping.

16 - Departure

Check out is at 10:00am.

Constraints specific to the seasonal rental require that the tenant agrees that the inventory be made ​​unilaterally by the agency after his departure.
 

After informing us of your departure by phone or SMS, make sure the location is closed and securely locked. You will then leave the keys at the location specified by the agency and we will go out to the place ourselves. You will be notified by email.

The departure is considered once your personal belongs have been removed from the property. If the lease has not been re-rented, you can stay a little later with the approval of the agency Savoielac / Rentalpes at no extra cost.

17 - Extending your stay

If the accommodation is not reserved, it may be possible to extend your stay.

18 - Animals

The precise contract will specify whether the client is permitted to have pets on the premises. If this clause is breached by the client, the owner can refuse the animals.
This denial can never be considered a modification or termination of contract by the owner, so that on departure, no refund will be considered.

19 - Smoking

Only certain rentals will accept smokers.
Thank you for specifying when you book that you wish to rent a place which allows smokers.

20 - Your responsibilities

You will be staying in a furnished, fully equipped property, and you are responsible for any damage you cause during your stay.
The property must be left in the same state that it was originally in when you first arrived for your stay.

You may not:

  • Attach objects to walls, or move equipment and furniture
  • Transfer the lease
  • Sublet the property
  • Have a business or professional activity in the rental
  • Hold parties in the lease

In the event that any of these conditions are violated, we may terminate the lease without notice. No refunds will be given by the owner.
 

21 - Our responsabilities

We must provide you with a property which is clean and in good working condition. Our technical team checks each dwelling before renting. However, we disclaim any responsibility for any failure or delay to the rental due to reasons beyond our control: political events, religious terrorism, natural disasters, fires, accidents, war, strikes, governmental measures, industrial actions, etc
We cannot be responsible for mechanical breakdown of the rental equipment, for example: elevator, electric doors, heating, satellite TV, etc
Or a problem with utilities: electricity, water, gas or cable TV network.

The agency Savoielac / Rentalpes reserves the right to provide the customer a housing equivalent or higher category if circumstances require it to be necessary.

22 - Housekeeping

The property will be in perfect condition of cleanliness with a clean set of towels for each person as well as dusters, sheets and pillowcases.
If you have a baby, plan your linen beforehand. We inform you that the washing, wiping and storing of dishes of the apartment is not included in the provision of the household and are your responsibility. The same applies when you finally leave the apartment; if the dishes are not cleaned, wiped and put away, a lump sum of 170 Euros will be deducted from your deposit.

If the bins and the sorting of waste is not managed during the stay a lump sum of 170 Euros will be deducted from your deposit.

End of stay cleaning is provided under the conditions that the place has been well sorted (rooms tidied and allowing easy access for our maintenance team ...).
If the property is not left clean with minimal laundry, overtime will be charged to you and deducted from your deposit. If you want a cleaner or a change of linen during your stay, this service is available upon request (optional).
The implementation of this service will be under the supervision of the tenant so that he can control his performance.

23 - Complaints

We do our best to satisfy you and make your stay pleasant, but in case you're disappointed with the rented accommodation, we ask that you first contact the agency Savoielac / Rentalpes.

If you leave the tenancy before the end without agreement from us, you will lose your right to possible compensation for the injury that you believe you have suffered.
By signing the lease, in a case of dispute, the tenant is assigned a fair and equitable arbitration of the agency Savoielac.

24 - Disputes

In the case of a dispute, if no amicable solution is found, the Commercial Court of Annecy is declared exclusive jurisdiction.
